Citrus County Parks & Recreation, Fish Florida and the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission are teaming up to put on the 13th annual Kid’s Fishing Clinic on February 25, 2017 at Fort Island Trail Park (12073 W. Fort Island Trail)from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. This popular event teaches children the basics of environmental stewardship, fishing ethics, angling skills, and safety. Your assistance is necessary to make our Kid’s Fishing Clinic a success. This is a great way to give back to the youth in our community. Please consider giving your time by passing on valuable fishing knowledge.
Please consider one or both of the following ways to help:
Rod and Reel Assembly: We need volunteers to help us put together the rods and reels we receive from Fish Florida on February 22, 2017 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. We will have complimentary coffee & donuts available for everyone helping out.
KFC Event Day Help: We need volunteers to help out at the actual event on February 25, 2017 at 8:30 A.M. Volunteers are needed to teach the children how to fish, give out goodie bags and fishing poles, direct traffic and to work at each station. We will provide you with beverages throughout the day, lunch, and a t-shirt. Coffee & donuts will be available as well.
