Work to rebuild Trinity Boulevard – from Little Road east to State Road 54 – will begin Monday, June 20, 2016 and is expected to last several weeks.
Construction crews will work on the road at night, Sunday through Thursday, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Crews will not work Friday or Saturday nights. Lights will illuminate the work area and signs will be installed at the east and west ends of the construction zone alerting drivers to uneven pavement and to the presence of workers.
During nighttime construction, one lane will be closed, with flagmen directing traffic. The detour will last approximately 14 days. Variable message boards will remain on Trinity Boulevard throughout the project to alert drivers that construction is underway. The road will be open to traffic during daylight hours.
Improvements to Trinity Boulevard will include reconstruction of the road base, roadway resurfacing, pavement markings and restriping.
Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc. is performing the work, which will take approximately 47 days to complete, depending on weather conditions. The estimated completion date of the project is August 5, 2016.
