Several Pasco Government Offices to Close for Columbus Day

Several Pasco County Government offices will be closed to the public on Columbus Day, Monday, October 10, 2016, for a Staff Development Day. All County Departments will be performing staff development activities throughout the day. Government offices will reopen to the public on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.

Pasco County Recreation Complexes and Community Centers will be closed to the public on Monday, October 10, 2016; however, the parks will remain open for public use.

A Pasco County Animal Control Officer will be on standby for emergency calls only. The Animal Shelter will reopen on Tuesday, October 11, at noon and will close at 6:30 p.m.

All Pasco County Libraries will be closed to the public both on Monday, October 10, 2016 during their normally scheduled closing day and Friday, October 14, 2016 for a prescheduled Staff Development Day. All Libraries will return to their normal schedule on Saturday, October 15, 2016.

All of the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Offices will be closed for Staff Development Day and will reopen on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.

 The following services will remain open:

The Clerk and Comptroller’s Criminal (including Traffic violations) and the Civil Court Divisions, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, Sheriff’s Office, and the Courts will still be open for business as usual on Monday.

The Pasco County Resource Recovery Facility and the East Pasco Transfer Station will be open to the general public and licensed commercial haulers on Monday, October 10, 2016.

Pasco County Public Transportation (PCPT) will be open and will run their regular bus routes on Monday, October 10. All government offices will return to normal hours on Tuesday, October 11. For more information on County services visit
