Hernando County Parks and Recreation announces the temporary closure of the playground area at Anderson Snow Park, located at 1360 Anderson Snow Road in Spring Hill, beginning August 12, 2020. During this time, staff will begin deconstruction of the existing playground equipment and prepare the groundwork for the new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible playground equipment installation.

The new equipment includes the following highlights (see image below) to create a universally inclusive playground specifically designed for kids of all abilities:

  • ADA accessible kidforce spinner
  • ADA accessible freedom seat
  • ADA accessible artificial turf

The Hernando County Parks and Recreation Department anticipates the installation of this equipment to be finished before the end of 2020. An announcement will be made when the playground will re-open for public use.
