Dr. Nayfield will have copies of his new book, “Some of my Best Patients Were Animals: Memoirs of a Florida Veterinarian,” available for purchase at the event. Books will cost $20 each and all proceeds will be donated to fund the construction of a new animal shelter.

“Some of My Best Patients Were Animals” tells the story of Dr. K.C. Nayfield’s career in veterinary medicine. During his over forty years of practice, he treated a wide variety of animals, including wildlife, which resulted in some interesting tales. Although his practice was in Florida, he made several good will medical and surgical trips to the Bahamas and Cuba.

The signing will be held at the animal shelter, located at 4030 South Airport Rd, Inverness, FL 34450, at 10:00am. Adoptions will also be available during normal Saturday business hours, 10:00am – 5:00pm.
