Coping with Dementia President Debbie Selsavage has announced that the Seventh Annual Coping with Dementia Family Care Partner Conference will be conducted virtually through Zoom from February 9 through 12, 2021.

Annual dementia conference to be virtual

The event will include sixteen one-hour sessions featuring experts speaking on a wide range of topics related to caring for Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Registration will be required, but the conference is free.

Selsavage states, “We are quite excited about the conference going virtual.  We are now open to an international audience, we no longer have to confine our activities to a single day, and we are not limited to local speakers only.”

“For example,” she continues, “we are especially pleased that our keynote speaker will be Teepa Snow, the internationally acclaimed dementia theorist, partitioner, educator, and founder of the school known as The Positive Approach to Care.” Selsavage concludes, “Expansion and virtual presentation of this annual event has been made possible by funding from Dementia Education, Inc., and we are grateful for this support.”

Coping with Dementia LLC will launch a special website for the conference early in January.  Until then, more information is available by calling 352-422-3663 or e-mailing deb@coping.today or dementiaed@aol.com.
