Citrus County Housing Services has implemented an Eviction Prevention Program to assist very low-income and low-income residents impacted by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Applications continue to be accepted to assist Citrus County Residents with Eviction Prevention
Priority shall be on a first-qualified, first served basis and is limited to a one time award. Payments will be made directly to the landlord and a valid lease must be in place.
Funding for this program is available through the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program. A household must meet the following criteria to qualify:
• Must be a Citrus County resident.
• Household income must be less than 80% of the average median income (see below).

- 1 Person – $31,300
- 2 Person – $35,800
- 3 Person – $40,250
- 4 Person – $44,700
- 5 Person – $48,300
- 6 Person – $51,900
- 7 Person – $55,540
- 8 Person – $59,050
• Must have a documented loss of income related to COVID-19 that resulted in missed rental payments and in danger of being evicted.
