What you get when you pay for a class: 

1) Knowledge! You get to learn how to make a new recipe from scratch. You get to learn how to can that recipe. You get to learn how to utilize that canned product into a meal for you and/or your family. 

2) You get a snack or meal, depending on what the class is! This is so you can taste what you made and to get one idea of how to use use that jar. 

3) You get to meet new people and make new friends! Lots of people have made new and lasting friendships from our classes. 

4) By purchasing a class, you are also supporting the Cannery! Every class helps keep our doors open by helping us pay our bills. We are a non-profit Organization and rely on donations, classes, grants, Cannery store purchases and Volunteers to keep us up and running.  

5) You get to shop in our Cannery store and check out what local small businesses have to offer while waiting for your jars to process. Every purchase helps a local small business and helps support the Cannery! 

6) You always go home with 1 jar of what you made that day, a recipe to make it again on your own and the hands
on experience!  
 Chipotle Beef and Spicy Potatoes Date: August 3, 2021 Time: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm 

We will be canning Chipotle Beef that can be used in tacos, burritos, over rice or for a sandwich! We will also make and can spiced chipotle potatoes. You will go home with a pint jar of each! Price: $50 per person This class is limited to a max 10 persons. Classes are non-refundable
 Tuna canned and Tuna Dip Date: August 6, 2021 Time: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm 

We will be canning fresh tuna!! So much better than what you get in the store!!!! No preservatives or fillers!!! We will then make tuna dip and have a snack!!! You will go home with a pint of tuna and small container of dip to enjoy at home!! Price: $45 per person This class is limited to a max 10 persons. Classes are non-refundable
 Tomato Jam and Canned Meatloaf Date: August 8, 2021 Time: 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm 

In this Class, you will learn how to prepare and can meatloaf and make a delicious tomato jam -AKA fancy ketchup- to top the meatloaf!!! You will go home with a small container of both!!!! Price: $50 per person This class is limited to a max 10 persons. Classes are non-refundable
Beef Jerky Date: August 11, 2021 Time: 11:30 am to 1:30 pm 

In this hands-on Class, you will learn how to prepare and dehydrate beef jerky. We will be preparing 2 flavors of beef jerky. All the steps will be discussed and demonstrated. You will go home with some dried beef jerky to enjoy of each to enjoy!!! Price: $45.00 This class is limited to a max 10 persons. Classes are non-refundable
 Maple Candied Jalapeño Date: August 14, 2021 Time: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm 

Similar to the popular cowboy candy, these jalapeños are sweetened with maple syrup, giving them a sensational flavor. With the perfect kick of sweet and spicy, they compliment many breakfast meals, such as spicy Texan omelets, breakfast burritos leftover from taco night and my personal favorite is adding them to my cowboy hash when I use my leftover Barbacoa! Each student will take home a jar of this delicious treat and I will also share some of my favorite recipes for how to use them in meals at home. Price: $35.00 This class is limited to a max of 8 persons. All Classes are non-refundable.
 End of Season Pasta Sauce Date: August 18,2021 Time: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm 

In this hands-on Class, you will learn how to prepare and jar a veggie end of season pasta sauce. If you have an abundance of summer veggies, we will show you how you can make a delicious pasta sauce with them!!!!! You will go home with a quart sized jar to enjoy at home. Price: $40.00 This class is limited to a max 10 persons. Classes are non-refundable
Beef Stew and Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits Date: August 20, 2021 Time: 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm 

In this hands on Class, we will prepare and can beef stew. While the beef stew is in the pressure canner, we will prepare and bake homemade buttermilk biscuits. We will have a sample of the beef stew and biscuit. Price: $50.00 This class is limited to a max of 10 persons. Classes are non-refundable.
Hearty Chicken Stew and Chicken Pot Pie Date: August 22,2021 Time: 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm 

In this hands-on Class, we will prepare Chicken stew and then discuss different ways to use it. Today we will make chicken pot pie with the prepared hearty chicken stew out of the jar. You will go home with a jar of chicken stew and a pot pie ready to cook. Price: $50.00 This class is limited to a max of 10 persons. All classes are non-refundable.
Fruit Shrubs Date: August 25, 2021 Time: 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

 In this Class, we will prepare and discuss fruit shrubs. Fruit shrubs are different fruits that are fermented and have healthy organisms. We then use the fruit shrub and mix with club soda or water to make a lovely and healthy drink!!! It’s a great idea for something to do with any leftover fruit!!!! You will get to sample a few fruit shrub drinks !!! Price:$ 35.00 This class is limited to a max of 10 persons. All classes are non-refundable.
Giardiniera Date: August 28, 2021 Time: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm This pickled recipe is one of my mother’s favorites. It reminds her of my grandparents spending time in their cellar canning from their garden. As a girl, she remembers sneaking into the cellar and opening the jars of mixed pickles and spoiling her dinner. It was one of the recipes that she asked me to make when I began growing and preserving my own food. In this class we will make the mild version of this cauliflower, bell pepper, carrot, and celery pickle mix using water bath canning. Each student will take home one jar of final product. Price: $35.00 This class is limited to a max of 8 persons. All classes are non-refundable.
Strawberry Syrup andStrawberry Margaritas Date: August 31, 2021 Time: 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm In this Class we will make strawberry syrup out of fresh Florida strawberries then use the syrup to make a frozen margarita!!! We will also discuss other uses for syrup.
