An Exhibit Documentary Project: “Back Roads to Back Home: Finding the Voices of the Sunshine State” is open at the Old Courthouse Museum in Inverness, running through July 31.
“These hands of mine have seen a lot of hard work,” Ormond Simmons said. “I don’t believe there’s a man in the state of Florida that’s worked any harder than I have.”
A rancher who once took care of 39,000 acres with 2,600 head of cattle, Simmons is one of the subjects featured in the new documentary exhibit, Back Roads to Back Home: Finding the Voices of the Sunshine State opened on May1 at the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum and will run through July 31.
