Centenarian Dotty Grant originally from Illinois, has been a Florida resident for the past 35 years.

Bayfront Health Spring Hill wishes longtime volunteer, Dotty Grant, a Happy 100th Birthday!

Dotty now calls The Residence at Timber Pines her home, and she loves it.  She volunteered for many years at Bayfront Health Spring Hill, it was almost like her second home.   Her late husband, Robert Grant, was always there to support her and was a witness to her enjoyment of giving her time through volunteerism.

As Bayfront Health Spring Hill grew, so did Dotty’s responsibilities as a volunteer.  She worked in many areas throughout the hospital, held positions as an executive officer, and served several terms on the auxiliary board.   “Dotty was always a joy to have as a volunteer with the most pleasant personality. I sincerely miss her and hearing her stories of the good old days,” commented Valerie Ciaccio, Volunteer Coordinator for Bayfront Health Spring Hill.

Along with volunteering at the hospital, she has served her community in many other volunteer roles.  Dotty has a sincere love of animals and her friends.  For many years she enjoyed playing golf.  She has even had a hole in one!  Dotty has often said that instead of counting her age she counts her friends and we know there’s a lot more than “f-o-u-r”!

Happy 100th Birthday Dotty and many more to come!
