Community leaders of Zephyrhills and Dade City will converge at the corner of Centennial Road and U.S. Highway 301 on Oct. 27 for the grand opening and ribbon cutting for the US 301 Bicycle Pedestrian Trail.

Several officials will bike in from both directions meeting at the event parking area at Grace Baptist Church, 10011 US 301, to attend the 10 a.m. ribbon cutting.

The paved trail is 4.5 miles long and 10 feet wide and connects Zephyrhills and Dade City from Kossik Road to Dade City Avenue. It was built by the Florida Department of Transportation with the collaborative efforts of The Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization and the cities that bookend the trail.
