Brooksville Breast Cancer Walk with the Mayor October 13
The Mayor of the City Of Brooksville invites all family and friends of loved ones touched by Breast Cancer to participate in the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, October 13th at 10:00 am. The walk will begin at the steps of the Hernando County Courthouse and end at the Tree of Hope located in front of Tom Varn Park which is approximately a 1 mile walk.
Participants will sign up at the courthouse steps the morning of the event. The first 100 participants signed-in will receive a t-shirt commemorating the event. There will be Pink Ribbons for participants to write words of encouragement and support, or to memorialize family and friends who have been affected by Breast Cancer.
Free pink camo bracelets will be given out as long as supplies last.
Participants are encouraged to dress in their best pink breast cancer awareness attire. There will be a contest for the “Best Dressed.” The winner will be awarded at Tom Varn Park after participants have reached the Tree of Hope and hung their ribbons. Cake and refreshments will be provided.
This is a free event and no pre-registration is required. To participate, simply grab your family, friends, and neighbors and join us on Saturday, October 13th at 10:00 am.
