The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce was established in 1925. making it the oldest referral resource in Hernando County. In 2017, the Chamber was recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as the 7th Largest Chamber in the Tampa Bay area with a membership of almost 1,000 members.
It is a 501c6 not-for-profit organization with a board of 18 community leaders whose primary mission is to strengthen our business environment to enable our members to prosper.
To guide in the accomplishment of this mission, four Pillars of Success (Networking, Marketing, Training, and Advocacy) direct the strategic plan of the board. Each Pillar has its own events, viewpoints, and objectives.
