Call for Chefs to Compete at the Taste in Inverness
Inverness event is a Preferred Qualifier for the World Food Championships
The Inverness Event & Visitor Bureau (IEVB) is preparing the Taste, a one-day music, beverage and art festival that is also a qualifier for the World Food Championship (WFC) in Orange Beach Alabama.
Professional chefs and mobile food vendors that are in good standing with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations and are interested in competing and serving at the Taste should contact event staffer Lisa Calderone at (352) 464-5590 or [email protected] for more information on how to participate.

Organized by the City of Inverness, a portion of the proceeds benefit the Citrus County Education Foundation.
There are approximately 30 openings for chefs from restaurants or food trucks to compete for the golden ticket to compete at World Food Championship, the largest food competition in the world.
Chefs may compete in up to eight categories: Sandwich, Burger, Bacon, Chicken, Steak, Appetizer, Dessert and Chef/Golden Ticket.
The chef with the highest score in the Chef/Golden Ticket category will move onto the World Food Championship.
