Calling Artists to create Monarch Butterfly Art

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on August 7, 2019

Created through a partnership between the City of Dade City and the Dade City Garden Club, the Dade City Monarch Project is a community wide effort to encourage, protect, and promote the Monarch butterfly and its habitat.

Out of Our Hands Gallery is looking for artists of all styles and mediums to enter your interpretation of the Monarch butterfly in their upcoming gallery show.

This art show is to support Dade City’s commitment to the Monarch butterfly.

Nearly a billion Monarch butterflies have vanished since 1990, according to data released by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in February 2015.

Monarchs rely on the milkweed plants and nectar plants for their food and home.  These plants are increasingly vanishing all across America.  Dade City will directly help the Monarch butterfly population recover through public awareness, education and planting milkweed and nectar plants.

Out of Our Hands Gallery invites artists to enter Monarch Butterfly art show

2D and 3D Artwork must portray or represent the Monarch butterfly in some form:  from Realism to Impressionism, from Fauvism to Pop Art….surprise us with your creativity!
