Cape Canaveral’s Rocket History presentation 7/19

The Hernando County Public Library System invites you to visit the Spring Hill Branch Library (9220 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34608) on Wednesday, July 19 at 10 am to make a virtual tour of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station part of your summer adventure.

Your tour director will be retired Army Major Randy Coppola. As a docent for the Air Force Space and Missile Museum, Mr. Coppola provides tours of Blockhouse 26, home of America’s First Satellite launch, as well as the entire Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. He has given tours and spoken publicly on the subject to audiences from Senior Citizens to retired Generals.

Mr. Coppola has produced several short videos on the early days of U.S. space exploration and brings them together in an entertaining and informative multimedia presentation. He was a launch correspondent for USLaunchReport, credentialed to NASA press, and a recognized videographer, compiling original content videos. He also volunteered as a media escort for SpaceX, United Launch Alliance and the 45th Public Affairs Office at Patrick Air Force Base.

Come to your Library and take a trip back in time to the birth of the Space Race! For additional information, contact: Anthony Adams, (352) 754-4043; email aadams@hernandocounty.us
