Cavallo Farm & Market to Close Temporarily June 26

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on June 23, 2022

Cavallo Farm & Market will be closing for the summer months on Sunday, June 26, 2022. The popular eatery and you-pick blueberry farm, with an onsite bakery and gift shop has decided to “take a break” for the summer months and their market merchandise is 40% off through Sunday.

Update on Jan. 1, 2023 – Cavallo Farm and Market closed permanently.

“With supply chain shortages and the heat of summer making it uncomfortable to eat in the open-air market, as well as worker shortages, we have chosen to ‘take a break’,” explained Katie Wright, Cavallo’s general manager.

I, for one, am going to miss those lemon blueberry cookies, but am eager to see what this creative group of businesspeople will come up with for the fall. Plans are still underway for a prime steakhouse on site, as well as serving wine by the glass. After a myriad of issues with Citrus County government, there may be hope for these wonderful additions to the Cavallo brand at the fall’s reopening.

Meanwhile, get out the store, located at 8123 S Lecanto Highway, Lecanto, FL 34461
