Citrus BOCC accepts donation from Friends of the Community Centers

The Friends of the Community Centers and Circle of Friends Gifts presented a $4,000 donation to the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners at their regular meeting on March 13, 2018. The generous donation is to provide meals to the elderly of Citrus County.

The Friends of the Community Centers, Inc. operate the Circle of Friends Gift Shop out of the Citrus County Resource Center at 2804 W Marc Knighton Court, Lecanto.  The shop offers new gift items such as watches, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, candles, decorative flags and many more unique items.  All proceeds made from sales are donated to the Meals on Wheels Program each year during the national “March For Meals” campaign To date, the Friends have donated over $20,000 to help feed local seniors.
