Citrus County Elves will deliver a pet to your door for Christmas

There is no better place for a pet to be than in a loving home with their own family. In honor of the holiday season adoption fees for dogs and cats is $20 this month (does not include the $10 county license for Citrus County residents).

For those that adopt a dog or cat from December 19 through 23 Animal Services is offering, with support from CCFAP volunteers, the option to have elves deliver the pet on Christmas morning to your front door.

“We love providing the Elf Delivery service to Christmas adopters.  It’s especially great to deliver to homes with children.  It makes lasting family memories that will stay with the kids for the rest of their lives.  The bond between pet and child becomes even more precious when they remember their special delivery on Christmas morning,” said Wanda Moak, President Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection. “This is our fifth year providing Christmas deliveries and CCFAP is happy to continue to offer this service free to the adopters.”
