Citrus County names new Public Information Officer

Citrus County Administrator Randy Oliver has named Cynthia Oswald as the new Public Information Officer. Oswald will start in her new position on Monday, June 20.

Oswald is coming from upstate New York as the Director for the Center for Inquiry, Discovery, and Development at SUNY Geneseo, and oversaw the programming for high-end students through endowments, grants and scholarships. Oswald also worked part time as the Director of Foundation and Public Relations for Noyes Health Systems.  Her previous experience includes the Livingston Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director of Livingston County Business/Education Alliance. She has received recognition from several organizations around the country and internationally for her roles in leadership and diplomacy.

Oswald is filling a position that has been vacant since Tobey Phillips was promoted to Community Services Director in May.
