The Citrus County Septic Upgrade Incentive Program’s waitlist has been lifted after receiving more than $1,000,000 in additional funding.

The Septic Upgrade Program provides a reimbursement of up to $7,000 per existing home, to eligible homeowners in a pre-approved FDEP area, to cover grant eligible expenses to install nitrogen-reducing enhancements to an existing conventional Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems (OSTDS). Grant applications will be accepted until funds are exhausted or the program deadline of Saturday, September 30, 2023, has been met.

A pre-application must be submitted for each eligible home.
