Citrus County Transit Expands Door-to-Door Service

Citrus County Transit is offering citizens expanded door-to-door transportation from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, with fares waived during the county state of emergency. Trips are available for work, shopping, doctor’s appointments, and other essential needs.  Door-to-door service is offered at this time for the general public as well as residents with mobility needs.

Citrus County Transit Expands Door-to-Door Service

A reservation through the Transit office is required. Same day and next day service may be available depending on volume, with more reservation options available in the afternoon. 

Veterans trips to VA hospitals continue to be scheduled for every:

Tuesday –Tampa VA Hospital
Wednesday- Gainesville VA Hospital
Thursday -The Villages VA Clinic

There is no charge for the VA trips.

Transit staff will be following CDC guidelines and direction from the Citrus County Health Department. All trips adhere to social distancing and face coverings are highly recommended.
