Debbie Selsavage, of Inverness, has been elected to the position of President of the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Family Organization, based in Spring Hill, Florida.

The Alzheimer’s Family Organization (AFO) is a charitable non-profit corporation that provides education, support, and services to caregivers of individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia in eight west-central Florida counties, including Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Lake, Sumter, Pinellas, Hillsboro, and Marion Counties.

Selsavage has been a member of the AFO since 2006 and has served on its board of directors since 2014.  She is President of her own company, Coping with Dementia LLC, that provides caregiver training and counseling for families living with dementia.

Selsavage says, “This is both an honor and a challenge that I am very excited about.  We have a strong and dedicated staff at the organization that I am looking forward to working with to build membership and a greater menu of services for our members.”
