The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners is now accepting applications for their Workforce Expansion Grant Program.

Citrus County Workforce Expansion Grant Program Now Accepting Applications

The Workforce Expansion Grant Program is specifically for local businesses in target industries that increase their workforce after March 1, 2020, and hire at or above prevailing wage for the position; up to $2,000 for each new full-time equivalent position. Target industries include:

• Aviation/Aerospace
• Cleantech
• Corporate headquarters of 50 or more employees
• Defense & Homeland Security
• Distribution & Logistics
• Financial & Professional Services
• Information Technology
• Life Sciences
• Manufacturing

The Citrus County Workforce Expansion Grant Program currently has $300,000 in available funds. A completed application must be submitted online at www.citrusbocc.com. Funds will be distributed on a first‐submitted and eligible application basis. Applications will be accepted until funds are fully exhausted, whichever occurs first.
