Dunnellon Adult Day Care, located at 20714 Chestnut Street in Dunnellon, Florida, has become the first adult daycare in the region to plan to train its staff in the techniques of Person-Centered Compassionate Care.  The facility, which serves both Citrus and Marion counties with 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours of operation from Monday through Friday, is owned by Myrtice Robinson, RN.

Dunnellon Adult Day Care becomes first in the region to adopt training in Person-Centered Compassionate Care

About the agreement with Coping with Dementia LLC, an Inverness-based caregiver education and training company, Robinson said, “As a veteran in senior care, I think it is important to provide a level of service that exceeds State minimum standards because seniors deserve the best we can give them.”
The agreement between the two companies was reached in a meeting between Robinson and Coping with Dementia President Debbie Selsavage on February 18, 2020.  About the agreement, Selsavage stated, “This is an important development for us.  Coping with Dementia has provided training for family caregivers and assisted living communities, but this is our first client in the adult day care sector.  We are grateful for this opportunity.”
