Cold Weather Donations Needed for Hernando’s Homeless

Due to the freezing temperatures that are in the forecast through the weekend, Hernando County Emergency Management is currently accepting cold weather donations for the area’s homeless community.

Items that are in the highest demand are jackets, hats, gloves, blankets and sleeping bags.

Donations can be dropped off today, January 3 through Friday, January 5, 2018 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Emergency Operations Center located at 18900 Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville.
