Composting provides many benefits in the garden.  A functioning compost pile of kitchen scraps and yard debris can be a challenge here in Florida for a variety of reasons.  Join UF/IFAS – Citrus County Extension Director BJ Jarvis for a composting conversation:

  • Uncover the benefits of composting
  • Problem solve some of the challenges of composting
  • How to use the organic matter product once your bin is functioning properly
  • All while removing this valuable resource from our waste stream
  • Discuss composting with worms as another option
  • Materials will be distributed at this FREE program
