Connect 4 Conservation Hernando – A Green Gala January 5
Saturday, January 5, 2019 • Rising Sun Bistro
What’s this all about? Last year Hernando Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society threw a party for Hernando County’s Conservation Community – those citizens trying to protect and restore the natural areas of our county. We wanted to thank everyone, we thought we should get to know each other better and have some fun.
It was great, and we are doing it again!
We believe that although organizations approach things from different angles, there are shared goals: clean air and water, maximum biodiversity, protection for sensitive plants, animals and their habitats, functioning ecosystems, and beautiful natural landscapes. So this party can make connections that can help.
Why January? December is too busy! We think it helps to start 2019 with a focus on positive action for the future. Imagine if we all turned our attention to collaboration and joined our voices for conservation. It would be a beautiful thing.
Why Fancy Dress? Let’s have some fun. In our rural county the opportunities for party clothes and bling are something rare. Everyone was just beautiful last year. Let’s do it again.
