Dade City plans Monarch Butterfly Festival Oct. 12
Dade City has taken the Monarch butterfly under its wing! Through its designation as a Monarch City USA, the City has pledged to help the Monarch butterfly through public awareness, education, and by restoring habitat within the municipality.
By working with the Dade City Garden Club under the Monarch Butterfly Project, the City is well on its way to fulfilling that promise!
The Dade City Monarch Butterfly Festival is scheduled for October 12, 2019 at Hibiscus Park in Dade City.
The Festival is being presented by the Dade City Youth Council and the Dade City Garden Club as a celebration of our community’s commitment to making Dade City a Monarch Butterfly Haven.
The festival will bring together people of all ages and will feature environmental educators, informational booths, presentations, native plant sales, vendors and hands-on activities for the kids!
Members of the business community are sought to join in the effort as part of an exciting sponsorship program for the Festival. This sponsorship program is designed to give maximum visibility to a business while underscoring the business’s commitment to community enrichment.
From $500 (limited to 2) to “whatever you would like to contribute”, there is a level for everyone! The support will help the Dade City Garden Club create a first-class event while showcasing Dade City’s proud heritage and promising future!
