Docents and Tour Guides (Volunteer) Needed at Chinsegut Hill Manor House
Can you donate an hour or two a week to aid us in keeping Chinsegut Hill Manor House and grounds open to the public by donating a bit of your time?
The Friends of Chinsegut Hill are looking for volunteers to serve as tour guides or “docents” for the manor house. They have a script written and notes to make it as easy as possible to give a tour.
The Friends are also looking for volunteers to greet visitors at the door, have them sign in and walk the grounds on their own.
They are in need of people to help welcome families to the beautiful manor house. A couple of the current docents like to dress the part of a previous owner of the house and take people around. If that sounds like fun to you, there is period clothing available for volunteers to use while touring guests.
Gentlemen are also needed. Colonel Pearson would open the door to his friends, as well as Ray Robins, greeting many visitors to this historic home.
Please take a moment to consider joining the Chinsegut Hill Manor House team for an hour or two of volunteering each week. “We have a great team of hardworking volunteers and are looking for some more like-minded people to help us in our endeavor to maintain ongoing access to the Manor house,” says Chinsegut’s Manager, Natalie Kahler, “No amount of time is too small for you to donate and we are happy to train you.”
