Downtown New Port Richey Merchants host Sunday in the City event January 13
New Port Richey merchants are encouraging the community to make the downtown district part of their weekend plans in a new way by hosting a new second Sunday promotion beginning on Sunday, January 13. Sunday in the City will occur once a month and is meant to entice residents and visitors to head downtown to shop, dine, explore, and experience all the City has to offer. Walking, biking, and golf carts are all great ways to reach the downtown district.
Businesses with Sunday hours will be creating special menu offerings, drink specials, activities, and sales. There will be additional activities planned each month ranging from scavenger hunts to art walks in future months as the promotion grows.
“This is intended to be a very organic occasion, more of a gathering,” says Lia Gallegos, Rock the Boat Productions Public Relations Director. “We wanted to create an opportunity for people to experience our City in a different way then they may have before. So this is less structured than a typical event and more of an open invitation to join us in our “living room” on a casual Sunday to see why we love this City so much.”
