Dozens of Lost Pets at Pasco County Animal Services
Keep pets safe this New Year’s holiday; adoption fees waived
Nearly 70 pets have come into Pasco County Animal Services (PCAS) since Christmas Day and dozens more are expected to arrive over the New Year’s holiday, as well. Many pets end up scared and lost due to fireworks and busy holiday season celebrations.
PCAS offers these tips to keep your pets safe and secure:
- Offer your pet a quiet place of their own, away from any celebrations
- During fireworks celebrations, secure pets in a safe area with a favorite toy
- Watch doors and exits, especially as guests are entering or leaving
- Make sure your pet has an up-to-date microchip and I.D. tag
PCAS Animal Control Officers have worked diligently through the holidays to find lost pets and help reunite them with their families.
In addition, PCAS is waiving adoption fees for dogs over 25 pounds and adult cats through January 4, 2018. Click below to see video of some of the available pets: http://bit.ly/2ltF7xM.
