Ed Caum Joins Collier County Dept. of Tourism
Ed Caum has joined the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau – Collier County’s department of tourism – as the new Deputy Director for Tourism/Sports Marketing.
He previously served as Tourism Manager for Pasco County, where he oversaw day-to-day operations and spearheaded a 30% growth in tourism tax collection, plus major developments in sports events and infrastructure. After retiring from 15 years of service with the U.S. Army as a public communications professional, he worked in a variety of non-profit and government positions. With a combination of marketing, communications, sales and management skills, he brings considerable experience to Collier County’s tourism team.
Caum currently serves on two VISIT FLORIDA committees, the Marketing Steering Council Committee and Chairman, Cultural, Heritage, Rural and Nature Committee.
Ed is a graduate of multiple military leadership courses and has also attended three County Leadership Programs – one in Pasco County and two in Indiana. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Pasco County Leadership Program and the Salt Springs Alliance for Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park, and is an active member of the Florida Outdoor Writers Association.
Ed has moved to Naples. His wife, Susannah, will join him shortly. He looks forward to joining Collier County’s team of tourism marketing professionals and actively engaging in the community.
A Note from NatureCoaster.com
We will sorely miss Ed Caum here in Florida’s Nature Coast. He helped NatureCoaster.com for a short time with sales and marketing and forever left a good impression on us. While we knew Ed was overqualified for the work he was doing with us, we sincerely hoped to keep him longer, as he was a true “NatureCoaster.” Still, we enjoyed his short tenure and look forward to visiting with him and touring his new market area. “Go get em Ed!”
