At the Inverness City Council meeting held Tuesday, January 7, 2020, Eric Williams was named Inverness City Manager. Williams has served as the assistant city manager for seven years and brings years of public service experience to the position.

The City of Inverness, Florida, is approximately 7 square miles with over 7,200 residents. The City continues to grow; however, growth is managed and supports the natural habitat. As new areas are identified for development, the City government ensures that services are available to support growth and to improve the quality of life for its citizens.

Through the years, Inverness has become a haven for those seeking a simpler lifestyle, a friendly community to enjoy their retirement or a safe home to raise their family.
