November 8, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
The West Pasco Women’s Wellness & Pregnancy Center (formerly the West Pasco Pregnancy Center), is pleased to announce its annual fundraiser the Champions of Life Banquet. It will be hosted on Thursday, November 8 at 5:30 pm at Spartan Manor, 6121 Massachusetts Avenue in New Port Richey. The event will include cocktail hour and dinner and will feature an incredible true story from national guest speaker, Jennifer Christie.
Jennifer Christie’s story went viral and readers were touched by her fierce protection of the life of her innocent son, as well as her husband’s loving response upon learning she was pregnant from a brutal rape.
“…Because one percent is everything when you’re in that one percent…I will tell my story.”
“Helping women while honoring the gift of life is at the heart of the West Pasco Women’s Wellness & Pregnancy Center’s mission”, said Judy DeBella Thomas, the Chief Executive Officer of the Center. This center has been serving the community since 1986, and is designed to engage, inform and empower women who have unplanned pregnancies. WPWWPC averages over 1,000 client visits a year and provides all services free of charge. The Center provides free care and education, pregnancy testing, ultrasound, and baby items to women experiencing a crisis pregnancy. They also provide adoption referrals as requested. The center follows the women throughout their pregnancy and throughout the first year of her baby’s life. The move to their 3500 square foot center in Port Richey provides more visibility and the room to expand their services. Services now include a Womens’ Wellness program providing free annual visit with PAP, lab and blood work to women over 18, who are not pregnant and do not have insurance.
There will be an appeal for donations as part of the evening’s schedule with all monies raised from this fundraiser going directly to the programs of serving women, men and babies in West Pasco County. Attendees are requested to register to attend through their Table Host – The West Pasco Women’s Wellness and Pregnancy Center is a 501(c) (3) organization that serves the entire community. The Center is located at 8125 US Highway 19 in Port Richey. For more information about the Champions of Life banquet please visit the website www.pascopregnancy.com or call the office at 727.846.999
