A three day musical weekend under the stars for all ages includes music workshops and internationally acclaimed blues entertainment.
There’s a new blues fest on the horizon and it’s guaranteed to be a good one!
GPS Festival Production partners Greg Herndon, of Mojoe Productions, and Paul Benjamin, of the North Atlantic Blues Fest, are excited to bring another stellar blues music festival to Sertoma Youth Ranch called Blues Bash at the Ranch, Presented by Mackey Law Group.
Home already to the highly successful Camping with the Blues in the fall, their new festival will be held in the spring each year. The date is set for March 15-17, 2019 and lineup is outstanding:
Cat Rhodes & the Truth
TC Carr & the Bolts of Blue
Mark ‘Guitar’ Miller Band
Alex Lopez Express Band
Bridget Kelly Band
Rusty Wright Band
Ray Fuller & the Bluesrockers
Biscuit Miller & the Mix
David Julia Band
Harper and Midwest Kind
Paul Nelson Band
Harmonica Workshop with TC Carr
Guitar Workshop with Tim Fik
Campers Acoustic Jam
For those who have not had the opportunity to experience an event produced by Greg and Paul, here is your chance to attend one of their festivals.
Set in the rolling hills of Brooksville, FL on the Hernando/Pasco county lines, this laid back, high caliber blues, camping optional, experience is one you don’t want to miss out on!
With over 80 acres of oak trees, creek and lake, the rustic and gorgeous Sertoma Youth Ranch hosts the festival. Over 200 water/electric sites with 30 amp service, permanent bathhouse with restrooms, showers and dump station are part of this amazing venue. There is plenty of space to spread out under the stars while you are tent camping in the primitive areas, but easy accessibility to the bathhouse. Campfires are allowed and the park is pet-friendly, so you don’t have to leave your beloved dogs at home!
The covered stage and seating area lends itself to an intimate gathering of like-minded music lovers with a large dance area. There will be a fantastic array of food and merchandise vendors on site all weekend.
Blues Bash at the Ranch is not just a camping event – single day tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as weekend passes are on sale, so grab them now! Camping is not required to attend and parking is free.
If you do want to camp at the festival, and don’t own an RV or camper, we can help you get hooked up with a rental. We recommend booking one now if you want to come for the whole weekend. The water and electric sites are limited and will sell out quickly. We have unlimited tent camping areas and space for self-contained units with quiet generators.
There are several hotels located just up at the next exit from the festival if that is more your style.
Blues Bash at the Ranch came about after the success of Camping with the Blues, held at Sertoma Youth Ranch in October each year. Greg Herndon and Paul Benjamin felt another blues festival would be the perfect addition to the ranch and would be held in the spring each year.
Sertoma Youth Ranch is located at 85 Myers Road, Brooksville, at exit 293 off I-75, about thirty minutes north of Tampa. Be sure to invite your friends and family to join you!
This event is held to raise funds for Sertoma Youth Ranch which operates as a 501-3C Non-Profit Organization under Fed. ID#59-2603520 and founded by the Sertoma Clubs in the Tampa Bay Area. It is run by a Board of Directors and their mission to provide a rustic outdoor recreational area for the children of the State of Florida. The ranch is funded in part by donations and events held there. Sertoma Youth Ranch will always be available to all supervised groups of children, including the physically and mentally challenged, at no charge. This includes but is not limited to Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girls Scouts, Church Youth Group, etc.
