Concert Series in the Park: Almost ABBA (ABBA Tribute)
April 16 @ 7:00 pmfree
MAMMA MIA it’s . . . Almost ABBA! This is also the last performance of this season’s series, so catch it. NPR Parks and Recreation will keep working hard to continue bringing talented and fun musical acts to Sims Park for FREE.
The final show of this season’s FREE Concert Series in the Park (at beautiful and scenic Sims Park) continues with a musical act already familiar to Sims Park; we welcome Almost ABBA back to New Port Richey for another round of countless great songs from the legendary Swedish pop group, ABBA!
Almost ABBA recreates the magic and nostalgia of ABBA in a costumed, choreographed and audience-interactive show! Boasting a sound-a-like performance of intricate harmonies and top-notch musicianship, they truly live up to their Almost ABBA name.
ALMOST ABBA was formed in 1997, and this fully costumed and choreographed show was the first Canadian tribute to ABBA. Since then they’ve relocated to the US and are based in TN and FL! The group has toured internationally throughout eleven countries, in casinos, stadiums, resorts, clubs and on cruise ships. Casino performances include those at: Point Edward Casino in Sarnia, Brantford Casino, Fort Eerie Casino, Woodbine Casino in Toronto, Sault Ste Marie Casino. Plus, they sell out theaters in the US on a regular basis!
Almost ABBA have performed for NBC, Universal, the release of Mamma Mia, The US Military, SeaWorld, and for crowds as large as 50,000. They were recently asked to open for Cher on her “Here We Go Again” Tour of Australia.
This concert is sponsored by the New Port Richey Parks and Recreation Department.
