Floral City Heritage Days

Be sure to get out for the annual Floral City Heritage Days on December 3 & 4. The Floral City Heritage Days Event is designed to preserve and further knowledge of the history and pre-history of Citrus County, Florida, and nearby areas.
Friday night, December 3rd, from 5:30-9:00 pm enjoy Candles & Carols which features an all-you-can-eat Fish Fry with night rides in a horse-drawn wagon down Orange Avenue lined with luminarias! Attendees enjoy singing carols from the open front porches of historic homes under the venerable century-old oak trees.
The fish fry begins at 5:00 p.m.
The horse and wagon ride is a donation only (children under 2 need to be held during the ride).
Floral City Heritage Hall Museum and Country Store will be open at 5:00 p.m.
Orange Avenue from Old Floral City Road to Annie Terrace will be closed to all vehicular traffic starting at 5:30 p.m. Luminaries will be placed along either side of the roadway under the century-old oak trees and the wagon rides and caroling will begin.
On December 4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., enjoy Florida Folk Life Day with early Florida daily living exhibits and demonstrations.
The Blue Banner Tour of Historic Homes this year will be a self-guided tour of the exterior of the homes with pictures and stories from our docents (donation only).
The Duval-Metz House will be open.
The day of festivities and education will include the Floral City Library, folk music, and country food.
Floral City is located at the intersection of US Hwy 41 and County Road 48 in east Citrus County. Hope to see everyone under the Oaks!
