33rd annual manatee festival

The Florida Manatee Festival returns January 18th and 19th, 2020. Come join the celebration in downtown Crystal River as we honor our most famous resident!

Now in our 33rd year, the Florida Manatee Festival is presented by the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce. Celebrating with food, music, entertainment, and frivolity for residents and visitors alike.
Over 20,000 people each year flock to Historic Downtown Crystal River, making The Florida Manatee Festival consistently chosen one of the Best of the Best Festivals by the readers of the Citrus County Chronicle.
Festival-goers can board free bus tours to Three Sisters Springs. The tours that are run continuously during the festival weekend, are conducted in cooperation with the City of Crystal River and the Friends of the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, allowing visitors to see manatees in their natural settings. Catch the tour bus at the corner of N.W. 1st Avenue and N.E. 5th Street.
For a nominal charge, Manatee Boat Tours are available from the City Pier at the end of N.E. Third Street for a trip into Kings Bay and other favorite manatee hangouts.
Back on land, the sound of music fills the air with live entertainment on four different stages, while visitors enjoy the offerings of fine arts and craft artisans. A beer & wine garden and two food courts serving up a wide menu of delights; from fresh seafood to authentic, local BBQ and everything in between. Plus, International Alley, featuring food trucks, food trailers, and booths filled with epicurean delights from around the world.

Sunday’s Music Headliner is EmiSunshine

Award-winning teen prodigy, EmiSunshine, amazed the crowd with her incredible talents at the 2019 Floral City Strawberry Festival. Now she’s back, fresh off her win of the 2019 ASCAP Foundation Desmond Child Anthem Award! EmiSunshine, at just 15 years old, is recognized by many as one of the most talented up-and-coming artists and songwriters in American music. Having already graced the stages of The Today Show, Little Big Shots with Steve Harvey, and the Grand Ole Opry, Emi has opened for legends such as Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Tanya Tucker, and more.
