Fort Cooper Bluegrass Music Festival

Held on the shore of Lake Holithlakaha, the Bluegrass Music Festival is just one of several great events held at Fort Cooper State Park. In its 8th year, this festival is jam-packed with some of the best local Bluegrass Bands.
The Friends of Fort Cooper are happy to announce the line–up and schedule for the 2019 Fort Cooper State Park Bluegrass Festival.
New to this year’s festival, Kentucky Sleepy Hollow will feature old favorites and new original songs. See them live at 11:00 am. They will follow Wry Whiskey at 12:15 pm.
Fans of Bluegrass Gospel will surely fall in love with Wry Whiskey; a local band who has a knack for switching things up to get the crowd going. Wry Whiskey will take the stage at 12:15 pm.
The Stillhouse Shakers is an old-time string band. Members of the band have placed highly in numerous individual competition for Old Time Banjo, Freewheeling, Blues Singing, and Old Time Singing. Catch them on the stage at 1:30 pm.
Always a crowd pleaser, The Possums are an amazing, multi-talented Bluegrass Band! The band has played at the festival for several years and we are happy to welcome them back this year. Be sure to find your seats on time, The Possums go on at 2:45 pm.
Be sure to bring your appetites; lots of good vittles will be provided by several food vendors during the festival.
Advance tickets are now available at Fort Cooper State Park. Tickets are $13 in advance and $15 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free.
The festival will go on rain or shine. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Sorry, no coolers or alcohol are allowed.
