Fort Dade Avenue Clean Up
December 15, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Nature Coast Conservation, Inc., home to Neighbors Against Mining, is happy to announce our second clean up of Fort Dade Avenue as part of the county’s Adopt-a-Road Program! Last time, with your help, twelve volunteers collected 10+ bags of trash and removed a large pile of miscellaneous materials (including part of a toilet tank!). This is the road around the proposed new CEMEX mine that we are opposed to. Helping to keep the roadsides clean is our way of showing our stewardship of this neighborhood.
Please join us on Saturday, Dec. 15th from 9 a.m.–noon. Let’s improve the neighborhood! Wear gloves, a hat, sturdy shoes and maybe sunscreen or protection from the sun. We’ll provide the bags, reflective safety vest, a waiver form required by the county for you to sign, and drinking water.
Meet us at the Spring Hill Cemetery sign on Fort Dade Avenue. Lunch and refreshments will be provided at noon –location to be announced that day. For more info, contact Krystal Nash at [email protected]
