Hunter Springs Park Movie and Paddlecraft Costume Contest

Come to Hunter Springs Park and get wet in costume to raise funds for Cayla’s Coats, a 501 c3 organization that provides lifejackets and drowning prevention education throughout Citrus County in honor of Cayla Barnes.
At 4 pm, gather in costume to launch your paddlecraft (or rent one on-site) for a fun, on the water, costume parade (free to participate) and contest ($10 donation to enter the contest and win prizes).
The costume parade starts at 5:30 pm. Contest participants will have photos taken and posted on Facebook, and by a vote of “likes,” the winner will be chosen at 5 pm on October 31.
Children can come in costume to the park and have a costume parade on land.
Food trucks will be available and Movies on the Beach will be at 7 pm, with the screening of Beetlejuice.
Paddlecraft can be rented on-site from Hunter Springs Kayaks for $30, which includes entry to the costume contest donation and the ability to paddle from 4 – 6:30 pm.
