The Nature Coast’s U-Pick Season is upon us. Local blueberry and peach growers are open for business. You can find several NatureCoaster growers by visiting our Agritourism page in the directory (Click here). Blueberry season runs until Memorial day weekend, more or less. Be sure to call the farm before you drive out because Mother Nature is in charge of farming, but take some time this year to go out and pick your own delicious fruits and veggies.

Creating usable space in your yard for wildlife can attract a number of animals for your viewing enjoyment. Learn how to create a space for wildlife; plant choice and arrangement can make big changes in who visits your backyard. Depending on your location, deer, birds of prey, smaller songbirds and other wildlife may use the space you create for shelter or feeding. For a $5.00 donation you may also take home a copy of a beautiful illustrated book produced by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission. The book contains the information presented in the class.
