Spirit of Woodstock is an annual music event which benefits the beautiful and rustic Sertoma Youth Ranch and will be held Friday thru Sunday, August 16-18, 2019 at the ranch located at 85 Myers Road, Brooksville, FL 34602.
This is an incredible three day and three-night camping optional festival located just off I-75 at Exit 293.
Spirit of Woodstock is produced by Deep End Productions, LLC partners Alex Kinlaw of Yesterdayze and Greg Herndon of Mojoe Productions, Inc.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic music festival, Woodstock, held on a dairy farm in the Catskill Mountains, northwest of New York City, between August 15–18, 1969, which attracted an audience of more than 400,000. Billed as “An Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music”, it was held at Max Yasgur’s 600-acre dairy farm near White Lake in Bethel, New York, 43 miles southwest of Woodstock.
Over the sometimes rainy weekend, 32 acts performed outdoors. It is widely regarded as a pivotal moment in popular music history, as well as the definitive nexus for the larger counterculture generation. Rolling Stone magazine listed it as one of the 50 Moments That Changed the History of Rock and Roll.
That brings us to today where we will relive the music festival that changed a generation.
