Farm to Table Summer Youth Camp
UF/IFAS Pasco County Extension Farm to Table Summer Youth Camp runs June 4-8 2018 from 9am to 1pm for youth ages 8-12. Kids will learn how to grow their own food, the importance of attaining fruits and vegetables in their diet, and how to conserve water.
Get ready for hands-on activities in the classroom, paired with interactive lessons in the garden!
Daily science experiments like how to make/use a solar oven to dehydrate food will be taught.
Participants will go outside, get their hands dirty, and have fun!
Participants will harvest vegetables from the garden and prepare their own healthy snack daily.
Lunch also provided by Summer BreakSpot. Participants must bring a hat, sunscreen and wear closed-toed shoes.
