Floral City Historical Happenings

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on November 13, 2019

The Floral City Historic Council has many activities throughout the year, but December is their busiest time, with the annual presentation of History Days December 6-7, 2019. Additionally, they run a wonderful history museum in the town center of Floral City that is open Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. The Museum has a great gift store. Books, t-shirts, toys, stamps, coins, and collectibles are all represented and the prices are nice.

Consider getting involved with the Floral City Historic Council by joining their upcoming volunteers’ session, helping decorate trees at the Inverness courthouse or visiting the museum… and don’t forget…

Floral City History Days are December 6-7. There are more details here.

Museum Volunteers’ Session 2

The Museum Volunteers will meet again on Thursday, November 14 for great conversations, activities, and refreshments! Everyone who wants to be or become a Museum Store Volunteer is invited to attend. This session we will be exploring the exhibits, familiarizing ourselves with the WiFi services, and reviewing the Square sales application on the iPad. The last session got very favorable feedback, so we’re doing it again!

The Volunteer Session will be held from 10 – 11:30 am on Thursday, November 14 — Please Email Charla Bauer if you’re planning to attend!
