Florida-Friendly Landscaping December Schedule

The Hernando County Florida-Friendly Landscaping (FFL) program offers classes and workshops year-round to help residents learn how to save time, money and water when maintaining their lawns and gardens. All classes will be presented by Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program Coordinator Lilly Browning.

December’s Schedule of Florida-Friendly Landscaping classes in Hernando County

Free Class: Tis the Season – Best Plants for Florida Holidays and Beyond

Residents are invited to attend “Tis the Season – Best Plants for Florida Holidays and Beyond” on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the West Hernando Library located at 6335 Blackbird Avenue in Brooksville. Many traditional holiday plants can be grown year-round in Florida. Participants will learn which plants hold up the best and how to bring a touch of the holidays to their landscape all year long. No registration is necessary.

Free Class: Alter-Natives for Your Landscape

Residents are invited to attend “Alter-Natives for Your Landscape” on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Chinsegut Conservation Center located at 23212 Lake Lindsey Road in Brooksville. Learn about fantastic Florida native plants and how they can be incorporated into your landscape for a flourishing and beautiful yard. No registration is necessary.
