The 2020 Florida Loquat Festival was originally scheduled for March 21, 2020, and has been postponed to late summer or early fall.  

The postponed Loquat Festival will have all the features of the festival, except fresh loquats. There will be jellies, jams, cookies and pastries, some incredible muffins, trees, tea, loquat literature, and the first-ever Loquat Art Show.

The Loquat Festival’s organizers are grateful for the support of our sponsor, supporters, patrons, partners, vendors, harvesters, fruit donors, government leaders, and the entire community. 

Annual Loquat Festival postponed to Late Summer or Early Fall 2020

“Everyone has given so much to the festival, including time, energy, mental and emotional support, and financial backing, that we know the Seventh Annual Florida Loquat Festival will be a success – just at a later date than originally planned,” said Dell DeChant, one of the Festival’s organizers.

Loquat fans may acquire many of the loquat products usually offered at the festival without waiting for the new date. 

Fresh Loquat Fruit is available Now

In the interest of safety, all fruit is harvested wearing protective gloves and N95 respirator masks.

The fruits and vegetables are always grown naturally and harvested following maximum safety precautions. There are plenty of loquats available at $3.00 a pound – just as would be the case at the festival.

You can also find loquat fruits at Wright’s Natural Market in downtown New Port Richey. Wright’s also has smoothies made with loquats.

Loquat Trees Available Now through GreenDreams

A big part of the festival are beautiful young trees, ready for planting in yards and gardens.  If you don’t want to wait until the new date of the festival, you can acquire trees directly from the festival’s featured supplier, GreenDreams – A Sustainable Solutions Company.
