The Pioneer Florida Museum & Village, in cooperation with Florida Humanities Council, will explore the professions and the people that sustain American society while it hosts “The Way We Worked,” a Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibition. This great exhibition will be on view January 28, 2017 through March 18, 2017.
To enhance this Smithsonian exhibition, we have added a Speaker Series to bring a Pasco County connection. The Speaker series kicks off on Thursday night!

Topic: “The Farm Workers in Florida: Overview of the economic and cultural aspects of farm workers in Pasco County”
Margarita was recognized by Governor Scott as the Civil Rights Person of the Year and from her work with Cesar Chavez to her championing of education with the Pasco County School Board, she told the story of farm workers in Pasco County.

Tom & Charlie grew up in Dade City. Tom was owner of The Witt-Touchton Company, LLC, is a Founding Member of the Tampa Bay History Center; and Owner/Collector of wonderful Maps Collection (highly renowned).
