The Hernando County Fine Arts Council is pleased to announce Florida’s Adventure Coast Visitors Bureau as the Premier Sponsor of the 36th Annual Art in the Park, scheduled to be March 14–15, 2020, 10 am-5pm, at Tom Varn Park, 306 Darby Lane, Brooksville.

“The Tourist Development Council (TDC) and the Visitors Bureau are thrilled to be the premier sponsor of “Art in the Park,” noted Tammy Heon, manager of Tourism Development for Hernando County. “The arts represent such an important part of our community, helping to bolster the economy and Tourism, while also adding to the quality of life here on Florida’s Adventure Coast. Art in the Park is one of the largest outdoor art shows on the Gulf Coast and valuable addition to our tourism offerings. We look forward to the event every year and appreciate all the hard work the Fine Arts Council does in our community.”

The Southeast Tourism Society named Art in the Park to its top 20 Festival and Events for the month of March 2020 for the third year in a row. Arts Council Chair William “Bill” Yerrick pointed out that this accolade, plus the sponsorship from Florida’s Adventure Coast, highlights the quality of Art in the Park and its value to the County. “Not only does Art in the Park bring artists and art lovers together in a beautiful setting, but proceeds from the event also help support all the arts in Hernando County through the Council’s grant programs.”

The festival is expected to draw 6,000 people to enjoy more than 130 fine art and craft exhibitors, a food court, a juried student art show, and a children’s art activity tent. There will be live stage entertainment both days with a special “Pops in the Park” concert performed by the Hernando Symphony Orchestra, Saturday, March 14 at 1 pm.

The 36th annual Art in the Park is sponsored by the Hernando County Fine Arts Council. Admission is FREE. The

$5 suggested parking donation helps support all the arts in Hernando County.
